Barbara C. Henderson92, passed away peacefully at her home in Norwich on May 9, 2014. Barbara was born in Wethersfield, Vermont in 1921 the 6th child of Charles Horace Cass and Gladys Emerson Cass.

Barbara married George Henderson in Newbury in 1978 and lived in Newbury until George's death in 1996.

She was an avid bridge player belonging to the American Contract Bridge League playing in many tournaments. Barbara enjoyed the finesse of the game and achieved the rank of Life Master. She was also a past member of ILEAD.

In addition, she was a volunteer at the Twin State Trust, The Norwich Library and a Tax Council for the Elderly for which she received a Certification of Appreciation from the Vermont Department of Taxes and the Internal Revenue Service.

She is survived by her son Arthur Leslie Lane and wife Holly of San Jose, CA, granddaughter Barbara Williams of Peabody, MA, her youngest brother Winton Emerson Cass and his wife Dorothy Dern Cass of Camarillo, CA and many nieces and nephews and their children.

She was predeceased by her husband George Henderson, her beloved daughter Drusilla, her father Charles Horace Cass and mother Gladys Emerson Cass, her brothers Frank, Donald, Gordon, Richard, Howard and William and her only sister Margaret.

Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Oak Lawn Cemetery of Springfield, VT.
