Obituary

Etna, NH / Ocala, FL

Christopher Parke Patch Sr., 68, passed away suddenly on October 18, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, after enjoying a wonderful beach vacation with his wife Jane.

Chris was an entrepreneur through and through. Known affectionately as the "Hanover Handyman" to his New Hampshire friends and neighbors, he also founded K9 Quencher, a pioneering company that created one of the first drinks for dogs.

He was an avid collector with a special fondness for clocks—particularly antique and mantel styles—as well as original porcelain and metal banks once produced by financial institutions. Both of his homes were filled with these treasures, each piece bringing him great joy.

Chris loved the outdoors, especially in winter, when he could be found snowboarding down any double black diamond slope he could find. Adventurous and fearless, he once even attempted heli-snowboarding in British Columbia, though the trip was called off due to avalanche conditions. He truly loved life and faced it without fear.

After years of watching his wife Jane attend, Chris  became a devoted member of the Baptist Church of Hanover. He quickly found joy in volunteering for community events and formed strong bonds within the congregation. Psalm 37 held special meaning for him, and his warmth and energy will be deeply missed by his church family.

Chris was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Suzanne; brother, Jonathan; and daughter, Lauren.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane, whom he absolutely adored; his sister, Grier; his son, Chris Jr., daughter-in-law Ashley; his daughter, Madeleine; Jane's children, Heather (Ed) and Joshua; his cherished grandchildren, Lauren Moodie, Bradly deMoll, Logan Moodie and Janayah Patch. He also leaves behind his loyal dogs, Max and Tippy.

Donations in Chris's memory may be made to the Baptist Church of Hanover in Etna, NH, or to the American Heart Association.

A memorial service will be held at the Baptist Church of Hanover in Etna, NH, on Saturday, November 1, at 2:00 p.m.
