Daniel
Henggeler
October 9, 1956 – July 19, 2025
It is hard to put into words what it is like to lose someone who meant everything. Daniel Christopher Henggeler, known by many as Dan, passed away suddenly on July 19th, 2025.
Dan was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, but spent the majority of his life in Torrance, California, where he raised his family along with his loving wife, Laura. In 2013, he moved with his daughter and wife to Hanover, New Hampshire, where he enjoyed a quieter life while raising his youngest.
Dan built a life filled with laughter, warmth, and unconditional love. He was happiest when surrounded by his wife of 34 years, Laura; his children, Scott, Nick, Mark, Daniel, and Kate; and his grandchildren, Maxine, Kes, Sophie, Wolfgang, Maizie, and Chase.
He had tremendous love for his brothers, Gus, Dave, and Tim.
He was predeceased by his sister, Tammy, and father, Giles, who both meant the world to him and whom he missed every single day. We take comfort that he is with them now.
To Dan, family always came first and he believed that life's greatest blessings were found in family dinners, on family trips, and the laughter he shared at home. Family was always at the center of Dan’s world, and everything he did was for his family. He taught us all that family is everything--and that love is what lasts.
Those who knew Dan will remember his kindness, sense of humor, hard work ethic, and endless generosity to those around him.
Even though this tribute comes later than we would have wished, the love behind it is timeless. Nothing we say will ever be enough to describe the loving and selfless man he was, the love we have for him, or the pain of losing him. But we all keep his spirit alive by loving each other the way he loved us--fully, fiercely, and unconditionally.
