February 23, 1951 – February 1, 2025
Londonderry, NH – David A. LaRochelle, 73, died Saturday, February 1st at Elliot Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born in Waterville, ME February 23, 1951 a son of the late Louis and Evangeline (Kibbin) LaRochelle, growing up in Winslow, ME and graduated from Winslow High School in 1969 where he was a member of both the school's track and basketball teams. Dave went on to Thomas College and graduated with a Business Degree in Accounting in 1973. After finishing college, he had a 38-year career as a Revenue Agent for the Internal Revenue Service, owned and operated Creative Landscape Designs, and was owner of Executive Tax Services of NH helping many people resolve complex tax issues.
Outside of work Dave was devoted to his family. He was associated with LAFA and LBC as both a coach and their treasurer, and also coached the Lady Knights AAU team. He found great joy and happiness vacationing with his family, especially on their trips to Florida. In 2011 Dave entered his favorite and most important role as "Pops" when the first of his grandchildren was born. He thrived in this role and always enjoyed and looked forward to spending time with his four grandchildren.
He volunteered for many organizations. He was on the Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce for 5-years, served as VP and immediate Past President of the Northern New England Association of Enrolled Agents, and served on the board of Directors of both ABLE NH as well as the Prostate Coalition. He was a member of St. Jude's Church and was a Eucharistic Minister.
Dave is survived by his wife of 47-years, Judy; a son Jonathan; daughter Kristin Mosier; brother Robert and his wife Nancy; brother-in-law Peter Alden; grandchildren Bennett, Charlie, Cohen and Quinn as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 17th at 10:00am at St. Jude's Church in Londonderry with burial in the Pillsbury Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the NH Prostate Cancer Coalition 75 S. Main St. # 175 Concord, NH 03301. Rand-Wilson Funeral Home in Hanover, NH is assisting the family.
