Obituary

Elizabeth Bubbins Bagnall, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday December 29, 2024 at Kendal at Hanover.

Beth was born April 29, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Bubbins. She is predeceased by her first husband, John S. Howland, and second husband, William A. Bagnall, and by her brother, Stanton Bubbins, and sister, Barbara Jane Bubbins. Beth is survived by daughters Daphne Kalmar and Erica Boyle and sons John Howland and Charles Howland and by her stepchildren—Gina Lincoln, Paul Bagnall, Donald Bagnall and Noel Bagnall and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beth lived much of her life in the South End of Boston. She attended Briarcliffe College and graduated with an MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Beth worked alongside her husband Bill, operating Bill Bagnall and Associates, an interior design firm. She was a talented potter working primarily in porcelain. Beth was an avid reader. She played the piano and was a great lover of music attending concerts regularly throughout her life. She liked nothing better than listening to a Bach piano concerto performed by her favorite pianist, Murray Perahia. Beth also loved spending time with her family, doing the New York Times crossword puzzle every day, and gathering with her friends at Kendal. She will be greatly missed.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care she received from the staff at Kendal.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours.
