James Fijalkowskiof Hanover, NH, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016. He was born in Torrington, CT, on August 26, 1954, son of the late Zygmunt and Josephine Fijalkowski.

James was a veteran of the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany for most of his service. Upon his return, he worked for many years at the Torrington Company and continued his education, receiving a Bachelor's Degree from UConn.

He is survived by son Alan of Colorado, brother Henry (Brenda) of Florida, sister Sophie Purdy (Mike) of Nebraska, twin sister Jessie Fijalkowski of Torrington, two grandsons, Tristan and Asher, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in Canton, CT, at the Trinity Episcopal Church on Route 179 on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 1:00p.m.

Jim will be sadly missed by family and friends.
