James Francis Huffpassed away Monday evening at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a short illness. James was born in Los Angeles, California, son of Betty and Harold Huff. He was close to his brothers Tommy and Mike.

James grew up in beautiful Southern California enjoying summers at Balboa Beach and attending North Hollywood High where he was a proud member of the Titans and Esquire clubs. After high school he enlisted in the Army where he spent time abroad in Germany. Returning home he utilized the GI Bill and put himself through Cal State Northridge where he graduated. At this time he met the love of his life, Saundra Murray Huff, whom he married and with whom he would later raise three children.

Following graduation he entered the insurance world, later becoming a partner with Gary Merrill in their own insurance agency in Pasadena, California. Enjoying his work and raising his children, James was also a strong member of the Catholic community and was a proud member of the Serra Club, an organization that supports vocations to the priesthood. James was a member of the St. Philip's community in Pasadena for over twenty-eight years.

After the passing of his mother in 2010, James decided to retire and move to Orford, New Hampshire, to be near his son Mike and Mike's wife Joanne, and granddaughter Sasha. He spent a wonderful year in New Hampshire "vacationing" and enjoying retired life. His only regret was not seeing a moose. A friend to all and a man that enjoyed life, he will be missed. He is survived by his wife Saundra, sons James, Mike, and Jonathan, and grandchildren Sasha and James Thomas, as well as his younger brother Mike.
