Jason Orleans Rothe passed away on April 29, 2023, in Concord, NH.

Jason was born in Palo Alto, CA on August 30, 1972. He grew up in Hanover, NH and attended Hanover High School. While growing up in Hanover, Jason enjoyed playing hockey and soccer, played saxophone in the school band, was in the math club and liked to read adventure novels.

After high school, Jason worked as a cook at Café Buon Gustaio, an Italian restaurant in Hanover. He loved to cook and thoroughly enjoyed his time there. Jason attended the College for Lifelong Learning, in Lebanon, NH then transferred into UNH. Jason lived most of his life in the Upper Valley area of NH and, also, spent several years living in Maine.

Jason was passionate about music. He played both six and twelve string guitars, as well as electric bass guitar and the mandolin. He loved to wear stylish hats and clothing.

Jason will be remembered for his humor and friendship. He is missed by all who truly knew him.

Jason was predeceased by his parents, Kathleen (Kathy) and Paul Rothe, and his brother-in-law, Shakir Khatib.

He is survived by his sister, Aimee Khatib, and nieces, Amber and Kiran Khatib.

A memorial service will be held at St. Denis church in Hanover on Monday, July 17 at 2:00pm followed by a graveside service at Pine Knoll cemetery. A reception will be held for family and friends.
