Lorna Frances Kirk82, passed away on May 30, 2014. She was born July 5, 1931 in Mornington Twp, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of James A and Eva J (Crawford) McKenzie.

Lorna received her RN licence in Toronto, Canada in 1954. She then moved to New York to further her nursing studies. In 1956 Lorna was offered the head OR nursing position at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Oakland CA.

Lorna married the love of her life, Robert Stewart Kirk on Sept 22, 1958 at Grace Church, Millbank, Ontario. In 1966 Lorna and family moved to Amherst, Ma, where they resided until 1989, at which time they moved to West Lebanon, NH.

Lorna's favorite pastimes were family, cooking/baking, sewing/quilting, skiing/biking and gardening. She was an active member in the Episcopal Church, attending Grace Church, Amherst MA, where she was head of the altar guild for many years. After moving to New Hampshire she was an active member of St Thomas, Hanover. She was also a member of the MA and VT/NH SCHC.

Lorna is survived by her daughter Janet Elizabeth Kirk and husband Richard Chouinard of CT, son Robert McKenzie Kirk and wife Donna of NY, brothers Glenn, Charles, Ken, sister-in-law Violet McKenzie and families of Canada. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Stewart Kirk and brother James A McKenzie.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St Thomas Episcopal Church on Thursday, June 26th at 11 am.
