Obituary

Malcolm Carey, 90, passed away peacefully at the Jack Byrnes Center on May 16, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Malcolm was born on January 29, 1934 in Medfield, MA the son of Benjamin and Celia (Kirsner) Carey. He graduated from Natick High School in 1952 and served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958.

Malcolm moved to the Upper Valley 20 years ago to be close to his family. He enjoyed being a Walmart greeter for many years and was a big part of the Bugbee Senior Center family. He was a champion candlepin bowler, loved watching sporting events as well as game shows. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Malcolm's smile and happiness will be missed by all, especially by his devoted wife Beatrice of 60 years; children Pam Hausler (Scott), Nancy Clark (Jack) and Barbara Bragg (Terry); grandchildren Brett (Sarah), Hanna, Kenna and Savanna. He is predeceased by his parents, brother and sister.

Memorial donations may be made to the Bugbee Senior Center, 262 North Main Street, White River Jct., VT 05001.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at 1:30pm at the Upper Valley Jewish Cemetery, 267 Mascoma Street, Lebanon, NH 03766. Shiva (gathering) will follow graveside services and will continue through Friday at noon at 57 Autumn Drive, White River Jct., VT.
