Margaret Louise Menard82, of Lyme, NH passed away in the comfort of her own home on June 26, 2020 after a courageous battle with Stage 4 lung cancer. She was born January 26, 1938 in Lyme, NH in the home her father built.

In 1952, Margaret graduated the 8th grade from the original red school house in Lyme. She graduated from Orford High School in 1956. After high school she went to work at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover in the medical records department.

Margaret married her childhood sweetheart Gerard "Sonny" Menard in 1958 and became a mother to two daughters: Debbie and Loralie. In Margaret's younger years she was proud to lead a small group in 4-H cooking, later becoming the Girl Scout Cookie Chairman for several years. Margaret also belonged to the Home Extension Group in Lyme, helping community members. She greatly enjoyed working on the annual Lyme Christmas Pageant with her close friends Patty Jenks and Barbara Balch, helping choreograph the dance of the angels for 10 years.

Margaret also worked on the Lyme Congregational Church Summer Suppers. She enjoyed traveling with close friends and family. Margaret loved her and Sonny's summer home on Goose Pond, where she held many social gatherings, birthday parties, and barbecues with friends and family. Margaret enjoyed boating, fishing and creating beautiful memories with her family. Margaret had a deep love for gardening, with extraordinary flower beds, vegetable and herb gardens. She also enjoyed wildlife, always feeding the birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and the deer. Margaret saved some amazing animals from shelters.

Margaret was the best mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend anyone could ask for. She will live on in the hearts of all of the lives she touched. She was an amazing woman who did everything with love and affection.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Millard Uline and Susie Caldwell, her sisters Shirley Hubbard and Polly Uline, her husband Gerard Menard, and her best friend Janet Tilden.

Margaret is survived by her daughters Debbie Menard and Loralie Menard, her six grandchildren: Douglas Olsen, Jarrett Olsen, Samantha Adams, Kaitlin Olsen, Dakota Menard, and Kiana Menard, and her six great-grandchildren: William Phelps, Natalie Olsen, Addison Adolph, Meadow Olsen, Avery Adolph, and Lane Olsen.

A graveside service will be held July 11, 2020 at 11 o'clock at the Highland Cemetery in Lyme, NH. A celebration of life to follow at 58 Dorchester Rd Lyme, NH.
