Marion Patricia Swoggerpassed away peacefully on January 1, 2012 after a brief illness. Born on May 25, 1936 in Aberdeen, Scotland; Marion moved to Hanover with her husband and children in 1977.

Marion was an active member of the Hanover community over the years. Passionate about art history, Marion was a long-time volunteer docent for the Hood Museum at Dartmouth College, as well as the Daniel Webster Cottage. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Marion will be remembered for her warmth and kindness.

Marion is preceded in death by her husband, John Swogger and survived by her children John-Gordon, Anne-Liesl and Nicholas, and her grandchildren, Colin and Madelyn.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
