Marjorie E. Woodward Armstrong86, died at Genesis Lebanon Center on Christmas Eve surrounded by her family.
Marge was born to Perley Leroy and Merle (Matoon) Woodward on March 18, 1926 in Hanover Center, NH. Marge was a devoted wife, loving mother and (great) grandmother. She attended schools in Hanover, NH and Norwich, VT.
Marge had been a Sunday School Teacher. She loved to sing, was a seamstress, and was multi-talented with homemade crafts. She was known as "mother" to many of her childrens' childhood friends. She was witty and her smile lit up a room. Many remember her walking hand and hand with Wayne in West Lebanon or sitting outside Maple Manor feeding the squirrels.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Armstrong of Lebanon, NH; her sons, Collin Jenkins of Laconia, and Foster Jenkins, Sr. and his wife Jeannette of Canaan; daughters Holly Towle and husband Richard of North Thetford, VT; twin daughters Arlene Marsh and husband Mark of Lebanon, NH and Darlene Johnson and husband Wayne of Ascutney, VT. She is also survived by two sisters Christine Jenkins and Dicksie Stickney and a brother Perley Woodward and multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grandson, Zane Jenkins; and a sister Lizzie Preston.
Marge was also a loving grandmother to Toby Cadwell and wife Elisa, Jeremy Cadwell and wife Cara, Foster Jenkins Jr. and wife Erica, Misty Sombric and husband Walter, Stacey Jorgensen, Kellie Towle-Koutsev and husband Roma, Chance Johnson, and Alicia Johnson. She was a loving great-grandmother to Adrianne, Damien, Alexxis, Kyliee, Lee, Erik, Mackenzie, Caleb and Mikayla.
A late Spring Memorial Service will be at the convenience of family and will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rand-Wilson Funeral Home of Hanover, NH.
