Mark Travis McCague41, of Salem, NH, died unexpectedly at home on March 21, 2017.

Born in Keene on September 24, 1975, Mark grew up in Keene and majored in computer science at Northeastern University before embarking on a successful IT career commencing at Cisco Systems and culminating in the past seven years at Akamai Industries in Cambridge MA as Senior SQA Automation Engineer.

Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and is survived by his parents, Sandy and Donna McCague, his brothers Todd and Ryan and their wives Cathy and Kendra, his three nephews Owen, Grant, and Adler and niece Sophie who all adored their funny and loving Uncle Mark, his Aunt Toni and Uncle Greg and Aunt Janet and Uncle John and their extended families, and his many friends and co-workers.

Mark was a brilliant man with a photographic memory who worshiped his "Ma and Pa and Bros", was committed to exceptionalism at his work, and was the quintessential Pats fan with an encyclopedic knowledge of Boston sports. Unlike most of us, he never lost faith during Tom Brady's stunning comeback during Super Bowl LI. His promise and potential for a bright future were unlimited and his infectious smile and enthusiasm could light up a room.

A memorial service celebrating Mark's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mark's name to Hope for NH Recovery, a non-profit group that is focused on prevention, treatment and recovery for anyone struggling with addiction.
