Raymond "Ray" G. Wilkins, 86 died peacefully on Tuesday April 15, 2025 at the Jack Byrnes Palliative Care and Hospice Center in Lebanon, NH.

Ray was born on November 9, 1938 in Camden, New Jersey the son of Gilbert and Ethel (Joseph) Wilkins. He graduated from Haddon Heights (NJ) High School in 1956 and from M.I.T. with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1960.

Following M.I.T. Ray worked for RCA Defense Electronics in the missile and space program until 1967 when he went to work for Hoffman RA Loche Medical Electronics.

On October 23, 1971 Ray married Marcia Sandford and they enjoyed traveling the country, eventually settling in Hanover NH in 1972. Ray worked as manager of Electrical Research and Development for Thermal Dynamics in West Lebanon, NH until 1992. He designed transformers for power supplies at Warner Power Company until his retirement in 2005.

When his son Paul was young Ray was involved in Scouting. From and early age Ray was interested in investing and he continued that interest with a local investment club for many years. Ray loved outdoor activities like downhill and cross country skiing, walking, hiking and canoeing. He had many interesting hobbies that allowed him to design and build operational model tugboats, robots, arcade machines and other electronics that were enjoyed by family, friends and neighbors. His robots entertained generations of children for many years, notably on Halloween.

Ray was generous, kind, and a loving husband and father and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Marcia, his son Paul (Katharina) and three grandchildren, as well as his sister, Nancy Buck.

Services are being held privately by family. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the charity of their choice.
