Richard J. Cooke, 78, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday April 18, 2025

Richard was born on January 26, 1947 in Albany, NY the son of Robert J. and June Melville Cooke. R ichard graduated from Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady, NY and went on to study geo graphy . He worked for many years at the United State Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife Joa n (Tanenhaus) Cooke, Bradford, VT, a daughter Roberta Parker (Jason) of White River Jct., VT, a son Randy Tanenhaus of Bradford, VT, two sisters; Susan Cuff (Walter) of VT, and Kathleen Letko (John) of NY, a brother Anthony Cooke (Rosalind) of Ontario, Canada, three grandchildren; Lillian, Hayden, and Chase Parker, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by a brother Michael A. Cooke.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 22, 2025 in the Upper Valley Jewish Community Cemetery on 267 Mascoma Street in Lebanon, NH beginning at 12:00pm.
