Richard Neroni died peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Jack Byrne Center after his struggle with extensive medical issues with his family by his side. He was 84 years old and had lived in Hanover for over 38 years. Born to Nerio J. Neroni and Veda Severance Neroni, Richard grew up in Hudson MA and graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelors degree in English. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Gail, his three children Sarah, Jonathan and Nathaniel, their spouses David Yuen, Christine Neroni, Emily Allen, fiancee of Nathaniel and his four adored grandsons, Alex, James, Ben and Matthew.

Richard found his calling early on. His ability to easily connect with people and sense of humor made him a natural salesman. With his interest in different architectural styles and building methods he started his career in sales of quality manufactured housing, moving on to the management of companies including American Barn and Saw Mill River Post and Beam. His final move was to Hanover after being offered the position to start a new branch of timber framed housing for the owner of Vermont Log Homes. This newly named company, Timberpeg, Inc. became a passion for Richard for the next 40+ years building it into a top manufacturer of commercial and residential custom post and beam structures.

Richard looked forward to his summers on Nantucket where he could relax with his family and catch up on his reading. He was a talented cook, especially of Italian food, which he enjoyed preparing for family and friends. He will be remembered for his humor, integrity, wisdom and caring.

Services and a gathering are scheduled for 11:00 on Friday, May 23, 2025 at St Denis Catholic Church, 8 Sanborn Rd, Hanover NH.
