Obituary

Randolph, Vermont

Richard (Rick) H. Storm 75, of Randolph Vermont, passed away on November 8, 2025 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Rick faced his cancer journey with determination and a positive outlook, living each day to the fullest.

Rick was the son of Herbert Howard Storm and Jane Petch. Rick was born in Syracuse, NY on August 3, 1950.

For years, Rick worked in the painting community, painting commercial and residential buildings. He had a passion for painting and eventually owned his own painting company. After retirement, he began to draw and paint for fun, something he never thought he was good at (although everyone else thought he was). He began to enjoy and thrive painting and drawing for leisure for friends and family and to just see what he could accomplish.

Rick enjoyed his daily drives to McDonalds for his morning coffee and beautiful views of the Vermont mountains. Rick cherished spending time with his family and friends and looked forward to his yearly visits to Atlanta, GA to spend time with his two daughters, granddaughters, sons-in-law, and the many new friends he met over the years.

Rick is survived by his daughters Lisa (Jeff) of Smyrna, GA, Allison(Jon) of Alpharetta, GA, granddaughters, Lindsey of Atlanta, GA, Courtney of Alpharetta, GA and Brooklyn of Alpharetta, GA as well as his sisters, Diane Allen of New Hampshire and Patricia Stebbins of Vermont and many nieces and nephews.

Rick will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Per Rick's wishes, there will be no formal services held. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 7, 2026 at the Wit and Grit in Randolph, Vermont from 4-7pm.
