Ron is survived by his mother, Ghislaine Boucher of Montreal, Quebec, his beloved wife, Judi (Quirk) Girardin of Piermont, New Hampshire; his son, Jean-Luc Girardin of Montreal, Quebec; his step-sons Thomas and Jay Pike of Piermont, New Hampshire, his sister, Mariette Girardin and her husband Gilbert Grenier of Saint Cleophas-de-Brandon, Quebec, his sister-in-law Louise Taylor and her husband Scott of Upton, Massachusetts as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by his father, Girard Girardin.

Ron was born on July 13, 1961 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. He grew up in Montreal, Quebec and graduated from Sir Winston Churchill High School and Vanier College in Montreal, Quebec with a degree in Computer Science. In 1994 he moved to Hanover, New Hampshire and took a position with Dartmouth College as a programmer/analyst in the College's Advancement office. In 2000 he married the love of his life, Judi (Quirk) Girardin and took to helping her raise her sons Tom and Jay.

Together Judi and Ron shared a love of gardening, music and the Boston Red Sox. Intellectually curious, fabulous at chess and games of strategy and a lover of unique and collectable watches, Ron was always up for any adventure and loved to learn and try new things.

One of his proudest moments was on July 4, 2013 when he became a citizen of the United States in order to participate in the Presidential Election. To the end he remained proud of his Canadian heritage.
