Ryan Mcandrew
Taylor
September 21, 1989 – April 15, 2025
White River Jct., Vermont
Ryan McAndrew Taylor, of White River Junction, VT, passed away on April 15, 2025. Ryan lived with schizophrenia, an illness that ultimately claimed his life.
Born at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, NH in 1989, Ryan graduated from Hanover High School in 2008 and from Boston University with a degree in computer science in 2012. He went on to work as software engineer for several companies, including TuneCore where he was Senior Software Engineer for the past two and a half years.
Ryan loved music and music production, and he was a beloved local deejay with regular gigs at Sawtooth Kitchen in Hanover, NH. At Sawtooth, he was known for his "Glow Nights," complete with complementary glow-in-the-dark foam sticks, bracelets, LED glasses and flashing bunny ears.
" All who knew Ryan, or would have had the occasion to be around him, couldn't help but recognize his amazing talent and creativity, not to mention his ability to connect and relate to his friends and widespread family," wrote Ryan's uncle Tom McNelis of Carnegie, Pennsylvania.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Marie and Tom Taylor of Norwich, VT, and his siblings, Mara Taylor of Killington, VT and Sean Taylor of Chicago, IL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Ryan's name to Health Care and Rehabilitation Services of Southeastern Vermont: hcrs.org .
