Stephen Leavitt Moripassed away on February 10th, 2022. He was 67 years old.

Stephen was the first child of three, born to Albert Mori and Dorothy Wyman Mori on December 11th, 1954 in Summit, New Jersey, while his father was stationed near there in the Army.

The Mori family would eventually settle down in Manhasset, New York. Stephen became a true New Yorker and spent most of his life on Long Island. He was an active child who loved sports and playing lacrosse and he graduated from Manhasset High School in 1973. He would later spend time abroad, working in building and construction in Saudi Arabia. Stephen was a gregarious man and had many friends who loved him for his generous soul, his broad grin and big laugh. Stephen was an extraordinary worker who became a detail oriented businessman.

He ultimately created a thriving company, SLM Consulting Group INC, where he assisted in Surety, Consulting and Construction Management Services for over a decade. After battling heart and lung disease for four years, Stephen died in Glen Cove Hospital and will be interred in the family plot in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Stephen is predeceased by his father Albert Henry Mori and his sister Ruth Page Morgan.

Stephen is survived by his mother Dorothy Mori of West Lebanon, New Hampshire; sister Nina Mori Gorini of Incisa Valdarno, Italy; his nieces Christina Nihan, Holly Ruth Finigan and Sanna McAuliffe; his nephews Alberto Gorini and Giorgio Gorini, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins
