Thomas Alan Leonardpassed away peacefully, early on August 27th after being in a coma due to a head injury. He was born on July 22, 1947 in Newport, VT. Tom attended Goddard College and at different times in his life lived in London, New York City, Palm Beach and for the past 18 years on Pleasant Street in Hanover, NH.

Per his wishes Tom was cremated. He has asked that his remains be buried with those of his adoptive mother, Ruth Evelyn Thurber at the Leonard family grave, Pinegrove Cemetery in Newport, VT.

Ruth and Tom will be laid to rest on May 11th, 2016. Anyone wishing to attend the burial or to contribute toward a gravestone for Tom may do so by contacting Diana Welsh at [email protected]

"The best is yet to come" was a favorite saying of Thomas Alan Leonard who loved to read, travel, "people watch" and be at the right place at the right time. Tom treasured deep connections and staying in touch with close friends. He was always a positive person, he appreciated life and all it brought his way.
