Wayne Lee Armstrong90, of Genesis Eldercare in Lebanon, NH died Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014. Wayne was born in Norwich, Vermont on December 11, 1923 to George M, and Wilma (Greenwood) Armstrong.

Wayne attended school in Norwich, VT and Hanover High School. On March 22, 1943, in his senior year, he joined the US Army where he was stationed in Italy and North Africa. Corporal Armstrong was honorably discharged April 10, 1946.

Wayne farmed for 16 years in Norwich, VT, worked in a saw mill, logged, cut wood and worked as a custodian for Dartmouth College. He also worked in maintenance for Westwood Condominiums in West Lebanon NH until he retired in 1990.

Wayne loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and searching for ginseng. Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a life member of the VFW.

Wayne is survived by his daughters, Holly Towle and her husband Richard of North Thetford, VT and twin daughters, Arlene Marsh and husband Mark of Lebanon, NH and Darlene Johnson and husband Wayne of Weathersfield, VT. He is also survived by one stepson, Foster Jenkins Sr. and wife Jeannette of Canaan, NH and several nieces and nephews, and a special cousin, David Armstrong (wife Jen). He is predeceased by his loving Wife of 57 years, Marjorie Armstrong, a stepson Collin Jenkins, grandson Zane Jenkins and two brothers, George and Charlie, and two sisters, Ruth and Mary.

Wayne was also a loving grandfather to Toby Cadwell and wife Elisa, Jeremy Cadwell and wife Cara, Misty Sombric and husband Walter, Stacey Jorgensen, Kellie Towle, Chance Johnson, Alicia Johnson, and Foster Jenkins Jr and wife Erika. Nine great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Caleb, Mikayla, Alexxis, Kyliee, Lee, Erik, Adrianne and Damien.

A graveside service will be held at Maple Street Cemetery in West Lebanon on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Please join the family for refreshments at the Norwich American Legion on Beaver Meadow Road immediately following the services.
